Alex Campbell, Co-Founder and CEO

Alex has dedicated the past decade to pioneering the mobile marketing discipline and educating clients on its value as a viable marketing solution. A leader and visionary, Alex’s expertise in strategic business planning, budget management and financial analysis has led to Vibes’ double digit growth, every year since 2004. Known throughout the industry for his candor regarding the state of mobile technology, Alex is a sought after speaker within the technology and financing circuits.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has won a number of awards throughout his career including Red Herring’s Top 25 Tech Rebels and Crain’s Business Chicago Top 40 Professionals under 40. Alex is a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization of Chicago.


Jack Philbin, Co-Founder and President

Jack spearheads the company’s overall strategic direction and drives Vibes’ position as one of the premier thought leaders in the mobile marketing and wireless industry. Since founding Vibes in 1998, Jack has played an instrumental role in building text-messaging as a marketing tool and is a sought after speaker at industry events such as the CTIA, MMA and iHollywood Forums. An entrepreneur and builder, Jack has specific expertise in business development, strategic client management and consumer marketing.

Jack is a graduate of Boston College and received his MBA at Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg School of Management. He currently sits on the CTIA Wireless Internet Caucus and, in 2005, received the MMA award for outstanding individual achievement.


Charley Cassell, CFO

As CFO, Charley’s responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, financial operations and capital activities. Charley came to Vibes in June, 2008 with more than 15 years of experience managing strategic planning, revenue, budget management, direct sales, and financial analysis. Prior to Vibes, Charley held several senior positions at leading internet companies including Yahoo!, eGroups and Learning Insights. Most recently, Charley worked as the Director of Operations at Google - a position he arrived at through the acquisition of Feedburner, a Chicago-based internet company, where he was CFO.

Charley holds an MBA from the University of Michigan School of Business Administration and a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.


Drew Green, SVP, Sales & Marketing

Drew currently serves as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Vibes Media. In this role, Drew is responsible for defining, implementing and leading the execution of Vibes’ Sales, Business Development and Marketing strategy. With over a decade of online marketing and sales leadership experience, Drew has a proven track record of results based management and high growth strategy development and execution.

Prior to joining Vibes in 2009, Drew was a member of SHOP.COM’s executive team since 2005, where he led the sales, merchant operations and business development departments during his tenure, and was responsible for revenue growth and cost efficiencies created through SHOP.COM’S multiple media platforms that provided demand generation and branding for thousands of retailers and brands. Prior to SHOP.COM, Drew held sales and sales leadership roles with Flonetwork, (acquired by DoubleClick) and DoubleClick (acquired by Google).

Drew also serves as a trusted advisor and/or investor in several high growth companies including Dayco Media, SHOP.COM, Primal Fusion, Learnhub, SHOP.CA and Riverdale Rentals. In 2009, Drew was nominated for Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 business leaders. Drew holds a Bachelor Degree from York University in Canada where he also played varsity basketball for the Lions.


Christine Schoeff, VP, Human Resources & Organizational Development

As Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development, Christine is responsible for the strategy and execution of Vibes’ HR and Talent programs. Christine brings over 15 years of strategic HR and OD leadership experience to the Vibes’ team. Christine is passionate about creating and sustaining performance cultures in high growth organizations and has led HR and Talent functions in multiple industries including Consumer E-Commerce, Professional Services, Advertising & Brand Consulting, and Financial Services. Christine has partnered with high performance teams within the US, Canada, and Latin America to achieve results during periods of aggressive growth and significant culture change.

Prior to joining Vibes in December, 2008, Christine held leadership roles with The Development Institute, TicketsNow, and Millward Brown, North America (a WPP Company). At the Development Institute, Christine advised start-up business on successful HR and Talent strategies during critical growth stages. At TicketsNow, Christine built and managed a high performing HR function for two years leading up to and through the company’s eventual sale to IAC’s Ticketmaster. While at Millward Brown, Christine led an HR and OD team of 12 serving 14 offices during a time period of explosive growth in the company’s history, including the management of 8 acquisitions and integrations.

Christine is a published author on various talent management topics and holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Administration and a Certificate in Organizational Development from DePaul University.


Doug Rothrock, VP, Client Services

Doug has been a key leader at Vibes helping build marketing and sales since he joined the company in 2002. He now oversees the Client Services department for Vibes’ where he is primarily responsible for strategic mobile initiatives that drive business growth and revenue for wireless carriers. An award winning consumer marketer with more than 20 years of experience, Vibes looks to Doug for his creative leadership, CRM and promotional expertise within the mobile space.

Prior to Vibes, Doug spent the majority of his career honing his skills in the mobile telecom and advertising industries. As one of the original members of Aerial Communications, a startup wireless carrier, Doug built and led the company’s marketing department until their merger with VoiceStream. After the merger, Doug was hired as Head of Global Marketing Communications to launch the Genie mobile Internet portal brand for British Telecom in both Europe and Asia. Doug has held a number of senior management positions at companies like Ameritech Cellular and agencies J. Walter Thompson and DDB. He is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
