Interep Extends Partnership With Vibes Media

The national ad rep firm says it will continue its business relationship with Vibes Media, a mobile marketing company that works with radio on the integration of interactive technology to a station. Among Vibes’ offerings is iRadio, an instant-response text-messaging program connecting a station’s air personalities with listeners.

Interep President/Strategic Sales Development Sheila Kirby says, “By incorporating mobile media into a radio buy, marketers can create one-on-one engagement with their consumers on an entirely opt-in basis without sacrificing the awareness levels that can only be achieved through mass media.”

Interep recently completed a text messaging campaign for radio involving Arm & Hammer’s Close Up brand. Vibes, working on behalf of Interep, created a text game for Close Up based on the Rock Paper Scissors game — renamed “Rock Paper Kisses” — that was promoted via radio in 37 markets and online. The radio spots invited listeners to play by text messaging the word “KISS.”
