In 2010 one of the hottest radio stations in the Chicago area, 101.9 The Mix, was unhappy with their current platform provider so they approached Vibes to help them optimize their mobile initiatives.

Challenge

The Mix needed to build a mobile database so they could begin connecting and continuously interacting with their loyal fan base in order to acquire new customers, strengthen loyalty and keep their station top-of-mind.

Solution

Using Vibes’ Catapult platform, 101.9 The Mix built a mobile alert database of listeners and provided them with exclusive information, station tune-ins, and promotional offers straight to their mobile phone.

Results

After implementing calls to action on air and online, The Mix grew their alert database to 4,000 subscribers in the first three months. By consistently promoting the alert list and continuously providing listeners with valuable and relevant content, The Mix alert database has grown to over 30,000 subscribers in the past year and a half.
