Eligibility. Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 18 or older, except residents of Rhode Island. Not open to employees or immediate family members (spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren, regardless of where they reside) and members of the same household (whether or not related) of employees of Sponsors, their respective affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, licensees, vendors, distributors, printers, advertising/promotion agencies, or the authorized dealers or retailers and resellers of AT&T, Real Salt Lake or Major League Soccer, L.L.C. Online entrants to the sweepstakes will be given the option to receive commercial e-mails from www.realsaltlake.com and www.mlsnet.com; however, eligibility to participate in the sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant’s consent to receive such e-mails. The sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state, local laws and regulations. Void in Rhode Island, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, and all other U.S. and foreign territories and possessions, in Quebec and where prohibited or restricted by law.
No Purchase Necessary. To enter sweepstakes, beginning at 7:00:00 p.m. (MT) on April 12, 2008 and ending at 11:59:59 p.m. (MT) on October 17, 2008, do one of the following: (1) visit www.realsaltlake.com and complete the online entry form; (2) text the word “TRIP” to 400057 from your AT&T wireless phone; or (3) by mailing in the entry form as described below. All entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. (MT) on October 17, 2008. Text message entries sent by resellers on behalf of customers of AT&T will not be eligible. Sponsors are not responsible for lost, misdirected, late, incomplete, illegible or unintelligible entries or for inaccurate entry information, whether caused by participant or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this sweepstakes, or by any technical or human errors that may occur in the processing of entries. Incomplete, duplicate, mechanically reproduced or automated entries are not permitted and will be deemed void. Entrants entering by sending a text message in the manner described above will be charged according to their rate plan. Each entry must be completed and submitted separately. Limit one entry per person.
Mail-in Method: If you do not wish to enter online, you may enter the sweepstakes by hand-printing your name, address, city, state and zip code, day & evening telephone number (including area code), date of birth and e-mail address (optional) on a standard size postcard and mail to: Real Salt Lake, 515 South 700 East, Suite 2R, Salt Lake City, UT. 84102. Sponsor will only use e-mail addresses provided via the Mail-in entry method for prize notification purposes only; however, eligibility to participate in the sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant’s provision of this information. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by October 5, 2008 and received by Sponsor by October 17, 2008. Mail-in entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.
Prize. The following prize will be awarded: One (1) Grand Prize consisting of one (1) trip for four (4) to a Real Salt Lake Playoff Game of your Choice. The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $2,000. The Grand Prize includes: roundtrip economy class airfare for four (4) from the major domestic airport nearest winner’s residence, two hotel rooms for two nights (standard double occupancy) and four (4) tickets to the Real Salt Lake playoff game. Winner is responsible for paying all costs and expenses related to the prize that are not specifically mentioned, including but not limited to taxes, transfers, ground transportation, meals, gratuities and other expenses incurred by accepting the prize. Travel times, airports, airline, hotel and exact location of seats at the game are at the discretion of Sponsors. Winner and his or her guests must travel on the same itinerary.
Prize Drawing. Prize will be awarded at a random drawing held on October 18, 2008. Winner need not be present to win. Potential prize winner will be notified by phone and/or e-mail within seven (7) business days of drawing and will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release. Winner’s guests (or parent or legal guardian if any guest is under 18 and/or a minor in his/her state of residence) will also be required to sign and return a Liability/Publicity Release prior to participation in prize. Refusal or return of such documents as non-deliverable or potential winner’s noncompliance with these Official Rules will also result in disqualification and, at Sponsor’s discretion, cause an alternative winner to be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries. If prize is not claimed within five (5) business days of notification, or if potential winner does not meet eligibility criteria, an alternate winner will be selected The Prize is non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemptions or substitutions except at Sponsors’ sole discretion. Sponsors and MLS will not be responsible for Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation of MLS games. There will be no substitutions for the Prize except by Sponsors who reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable or greater value at its sole discretion.
Odds of Winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Additional Terms. Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to modify, terminate, or suspend this sweepstakes should viruses, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsors’ control corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the sweepstakes, or submission of entries. Sponsors are not responsible for any human or other error that may occur in the processing of the entries, nor are they responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of entries, or for technical, network, telephone, computer hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive any entry information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or any combination thereof. Sponsors are not responsible for injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other computer resulting from downloading any materials in the sweepstakes. Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the sweepstakes or web site; to be acting in violation of these rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods will void all such entries submitted by such methods. In the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account used to enter the sweepstakes at the actual time of entry will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these rules. The authorized account subscriber is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domains associated with the submitted e-mail addresses. The user identified in AT&T wireless billing system for any given AT&T wireless number used to enter by sending a text message will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these rules. In the event a user for any given AT&T wireless number is not identified in AT&T Wireless’ billing system, the account holder for such AT&T wireless number will then be deemed the participant and must comply with these rules. Only the number of prizes stated herein will be awarded. In the event any technical errors occur in the selection of winner and more prizes are claimed than the number of prizes being awarded as provided herein, Sponsors reserve the right to award the prize by random drawing from among all eligible claimants.
Miscellaneous. By participating in the sweepstakes and submitting an entry, all entrants agree to (i) be bound by these Official Rules, including all entry requirements and (ii) waive any and all claims against the Sponsors, MLS, the SOE Entities and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the sweepstakes, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, “Released Parties”) for any injury, damage or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the sweepstakes or from the receipt or use of any Prize or any travel or activity related to the receipt or use of any Prize. No transfer, assignment, cash redemption or substitution of prize is permitted except by Sponsors due to prize availability and then with a prize of equal or greater value. By accepting prize, winner and his/her guests agree (for himself or herself and his or her heirs) that Sponsors and their affiliates and agents will have no liability, and will be held harmless by such winner and his/her guests for any liability, loss, injury or damage to property or to person, including death, and reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize or participation in this sweepstakes, even if caused or contributed to by the negligence of Sponsors. Participants agree that the decisions of Sponsors related to this sweepstakes and all drawings are final. By participating in sweepstakes, winner consents to the use of his/her name, photograph and/or likeness in any manner and in any medium for promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law and winner grants to Sponsor, MLS and the SOE Entities and their respective designees the right to publicize such Winner’s name, city and state/province of residence and/or likeness in any medium now or hereafter devised worldwide without limitation and without additional compensation or consideration, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.
