The Practice Growth Institute grew from founder and CEO’s Jay Geier’s early days in the medical and dental private practice industry, which led him to found The Scheduling Institute and later The Practice Growth Institute. His team has continually redefined what success looks like for independent practitioners, doctors, and their teams. The company needed a way to effectively reach its growing network of practitioners via SMS, but found that their initial platform, Twilio, wasn’t particularly user-friendly when they needed to alert their audience about upcoming webinars, or to remind them about events and sessions they were hosting.
“We had to jump through lots of hoops to get a text approved to send, which made it a lot harder to send them”, said Melissa Brubaker, Campaign Specialist at Practice Growth Institute. “Someone quit our company, and we didn’t backfill, so I took on the role of managing SMS. I don’t really love complex integrations; I just want to be able to build campaigns easily”.
Needing an SMS solution that easily integrated into Adobe Marketo Engage, the company’s email and campaign platform, Brubaker started looking for a solution that did so, and found that Vibes was the only native SMS integration in Marketo, enabling campaign marketers like her to be able to send SMS from Marketo everywhere they send email today.
Practice Growth Institute liked what they saw from Vibes immediately, and decided to look no further. “I didn’t do a big RFP, and I pressed the ‘easy button’”, said Brubaker. “We wanted to bundle it into our Marketo contract, and I didn’t want to have to go to our CEO with two things to sign”.
Brubaker especially appreciated the ease in building an SMS campaign, and how Vibes worked so closely with her to train and get her up and running quickly. “I like it because when I make a list and create a campaign, I just paste in what I need. I worked with Vibes on suggestions and verbiage; how to create my list, how to create my campaigns, add in all the replies and more. It's really simple to do what I need”.
Practice Growth Institute is now routinely sending information to new leads about their webinars; keeping them engaged with text message reminders, and more.
Brubaker remains very enthusiastic, and sees immense room for growth. “I want to do more marketing with it in future. I love it because it’s a way to keep marketing and relationships personal. We recently had a workshop in Montana, and Vibes let us text subscribers that we had a later start. It’s really personal for us. We’re teaching our members to be CEOs, helping them to grow their businesses – and SMS is a much easier way to get them engaged, because it’s straight to their phone.”
